What are your car rental age requirements?
You have to be at least 21 years of age with three years driving experience to rent or drive a Road Runner Car Rental vehicle.
Do I require a Security Deposit?
Yes, a deposit of US$1000 is required as security for the vehicle and will be released at the end of the rental period once there is no damage to the vehicle and all accounts are settled. It is taken in the form of an "authorization only" transaction (freezing of funds; not a purchase transaction) on your credit card. For those who opt to take CDW cover with Road Runner Car Rental this security will serve as your maximum deductible for the Basic Plan.
I have car rental insurance through my credit card, do I still have to make a security deposit?
Yes you do. We do not have an agreement with your credit card company, you do and are therefore you are responsible to us to cover the cost of damage repair if any. We will provide you however with all documentation need to facilitate a claim. Road Runner Car Rental will need to do an 'authorization only' transaction on your credit card (freezing of funds; not a purchase transaction) in the amount of US$1000 security deposit amount. You can make this Security Deposit by permitting an authorization only transaction (freezing of funds; not a purchase transaction) on your credit card in the amount of US$10000 at the time of your arrival. This will be released at the end of the rental period once there is no damage to the vehicle and all accounts are settled.
Do I need insurance?
This is optional. We offer Collision Damage Waiver options to those wishing to limit their financial liability in the event of an accidental collision with another vehicle. For US$10 extra per day with our Basic Plan your maximum financial liability would be US$1000 in this event. For US$20 extra per day with our Plus Plan your maximum financial liability would be US$650. Our Plus Plan covers you not just in the event of the collision with another vehicle but also in the event of broken glass, damage to the undercarriage of the vehicle and to rims and/or tires otherwise caused. If you do not accept one of our Insurance options, in the event of an accident you would be fully responsible for the cost of repair or replacement of the vehicle, payment of the excess for third party damages and other associated cost such as towing, independent appraisal and loss of use.
What if I need to cancel my reservation?
If you wish to cancel a confirmed reservation you must inform Road Runner Car Rental and our refund policy will apply.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept EC$ cash as well as (US$, Euro and Pounds Sterling at current bank rates), credit cards (Mastercard, Visa & Discover), Travelers Checks (US$) and debit cards (Mastercard & Visa).
Do I have to pay for the car rental in advance?
Yes, you must settle all accounts up front including requests for extensions as they arise. Upfront doesn't necessarily mean at the time of booking but 7 prior to your arrival for online reservations and at the time of delivery for locally made reservations. Your security deposit will be processed at the time of delivery.
Can I use another person's credit card for renting a vehicle?
Yes, but the card holder must either be present themselves with proper ID to sign the car rental contract and the credit card slip or must be willing to sign a credit card authorization form which we will forward to you on request.
What type of Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) options do you offer?
Coverage applies only in the event of a collision with another vehicle. Coverage does not apply to unassociated damage to tires/rims, glass and undercarriage. As well, it does not apply to incidents that occur off-road. By accepting this option you agree to a daily premium of US$10 with maximum financial liability of US$1000 in the event of a collision with another vehicle.

You may decline Collision Damage Waiver coverage. If you do, in the event of an incident or accident involving the rented vehicle you shall be fully responsible for the cost of damage repair to the vehicle in addition to all associated charges including : towing, independent appraisal, company loss of use of vehicle during repairs and, third party excess charges (max. $5000) if any.

What if I lose the keys to the vehicle, run out of gas, get a flat tire or, I forget the lights on and the battery goes dead?
None of us need that scenario while on vacation. There are lots of unpredicted, unplanned circumstances as those that could mar your vacation. We are ready to come to your assistance. A typical roadside service call costs at minimum 28US$. If you sign up for our Road Runner Care service at US$3/day we will take whatever action is necessary to get you rolling at no further service charge. Exclusions to the benefit allowance are: cost of parts, fuel, lost key replacement, tire repair or replacement, rental of tow equipment, labour cost for onsite repair or off-site repair, as the case may be.
What type of taxes will I be charged for?
Effective April 01, 2007 15% VAT (Value Added Tax) must be added to the car rental rate.
What additional charges are there?
You may be charged for delivery to certain points around the island and for additional drivers in some instances as explained below.
Is there an additional charge for more than one driver?
Yes, there is an additional charge of US$5 per day with a maximum charge of US$50 per rental for an additional driver. This does not apply to the renter's spouse or partner. The additional driver, however, must supply their valid driver's license as a basis to obtain a Visitor's Temporary Driver's Permit. Road Runner Car Rental is authorized to issue these permits at a cost of US$12.
Is there a mileage charge?
There is no additional charge on mileage. Rates shown include unlimited mileage.
If I return the vehicle with less than the amount of fuel given how am I charged?
If you return the vehicle with less fuel we will charge you for the service of refueling the tank. You will be charged a premium rate of US$10 per gallon (subject to change with significant increase or decrease of fuel cost). Small vehicles are calculated on a 12 gallon tank and larger vehicles on 18 gallons (full tank). We recommend self-refueling.
Do you drop off and pick up vehicles?
Yes, we deliver and pickup vehicles island-wide. Our delivery and pick up service to Melville Hall Airport, Canefield Airport, the Roseau Ferry Terminal and Cruise Ship Birth is free of charge. As well, we service hotels within 5miles of Roseau free of charge. For hotels and guest houses outside of this zone a small fee may apply and will be indicated by the office on request.
If I have a flight or a ferry scheduled to arrive or depart during your closed hours, can I get full service at that time?
Our agent will be there at the specified time to serve you. This is not a problem.
Do you deliver at the hotels?
Yes, we do deliver at hotels island-wide.
TYPES OF VEHICLES
What type of vehicles do you have?
We have a wide selection of vehicles to suit your every need. This includes Suzuki Jeeps, Toyota RAV4s, Pajeros/Monteros (SUV), Minivans and Pickups.
Do you have automatic or manual (stick shift) cars?
Most of our vehicles are automatic but we do have a limited choice of manual (stick) vehicles.
Do you have air conditioned cars?
Yes, all our vehicles are air conditioned.
Do you rent cars by the hour?
No, we do not. A minimum charge of one day applies to rentals of less than 24 hours. A leeway of 3hours is granted on the final day of your rental. Beyond this time period an additional day will be charged.
Do you offer accessories with your rentals?
Yes, Road Runner Car Rental offers baby seats and/or cellular phones at a flat rate of US$10. With respect to the use of our cellular phones, you will be required to purchase pre-paid talking minutes which can be done island or through our office (same cost).
If I rent a vehicle for a month can I get a good price?
Yes, vehicles rented for that period receive a special offer.

Where are you located?
Our Main office is located on Canefield Highway, very close to the Canefield Airport. Our auto garage is located at Fond Cole Industrial Road. Both are open from 8:00 AM till 5:00 PM Mon-Fri. However, Road Runner Car Rental brings its service to you at all ports of entry (Melville Hall Airport, Ferry Terminal etc...) or place of accommodation island-wide and, we are available to provide full servie to our customers after hours and on weekends by calling (767) 612-9559.
