REQUIREMENTS
Can I use my international driver's license in Domnica?
Yes you may, if Dominica is specified on the license as an approved country.
Can I use a valid driver's license from my own country?
You can use it as a basis to obtain a Visitor's Temporary Driver's Permit at the cost of US$12. Road Runner Car Rental is authorized to issue these permits for a period of one month.
What are your car rental age requirements?
You have to be at least 25 years of age with two years driving experience to rent or drive a Road Runner Car Rental vehicle at standard rate. We will rent at our discretion select vehicles to drivers 21-24 years of age for an underage surcharge of US$25/day.
Do I require a Security Deposit?
Yes a deposit for the amount of US$1125 is required for security purposes and will be released once there is no damage to the vehicle and all accounts are settled. It is taken in the form of an "authorization only" transaction (freezing of funds; not a purchase transaction) on your credit card. For those who opt to take CDW insurance cover with Road Runner Car Rental this security will serve as your maximum deductible. For those who decline our optional CDW insurance cover this security will be applied towards damage costs if any.
I have car rental insurance through my credit card, do I still have to make a security deposit?
Yes you do. This security helps to cover costs associated with any incident that your credit card company does not cover under their agreement with you. Road Runner Car Rental will do an authorization only transaction on your credit card (freezing of funds; not a purchase transaction) for the amount of US$1125 to put if necessary towards costs incurred.
How do I make this Security Deposit?
You can make this Security Deposit which is the equivalent of US$1125 by permitting an authorization only transaction (freezing of funds; not a purchase transaction) on your credit card for the amount.
Do I need insurance?
This is optional. We offer Collision Damage Waiver options to those wishing to limit their financial liability in the event of an accidental collision with another vehicle. For US$10 extra per day your maximum financial liability US$1125. For US$20 extra per day your maximum financial liability would be US$500. Otherwise, in the event of a collision you would be fully responsible for the cost of repair or replacement of the vehicle unless responsibility is legally accepted by the other party.
What if I need to cancel my reservation?
If you wish to cancel a confirmed reservation you must inform Road Runner Car Rental at least 7 days in advance for a full refund.
METHOD OF PAYMENT
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept EC$ cash as well as (US$, Euro and Pounds Sterling at current bank rates), credit cards (Mastercard & Visa), Travelers Checks (US$) and debit cards (Mastercard & Visa).
Do I have to pay for the car rental in advance?
Yes, you must settle all accounts up front including requests for extensions as they arise. Upfront doesn't necessarily mean at the time of booking but during the week of your arrival.
Can I use another person's credit card for renting a vehicle?
Yes, but the card holder must present themselves with proper ID to sign the car rental contract and the credit card slip.
INSURANCE
What is Collision Damage Waiver (Insurance)?
This is a form of insurance coverage for you in the event of an accidental collision with another vehicle. If this is proven to have occurred your financial liability will be limited to the amount stated for the option chosen. Option #1, for US$10 extra per day your financial liability would be US$1125. Option #2, for US$20 extra per day your financial liability would be US$500. Option#3, you may decline insurance. In the event of a collision with another vehicle you would be fully responsible for the cost of repair or replacement of the vehicle if you have not opted to take insurance.
ADDITIONAL CHARGES
What type of taxes will I be charged for?
Effective April 01, 2007 15% VAT (Value Added Tax) must be added to advertized rates.
What additional charges are there?
You may be charged per additional driver or an underage surcharge for renters between the ages of 21-24.
Is there an additional charge for more than one driver?
Yes, there is an additional charge of US$5 per day with a maximum charge of US$50 per rental per additional driver. This does not apply to the renter's spouse. The additional driver, however, must supply their driver's license and other basic identification.
What if I am under 25 years and wish to rent a vehicle?
Road Runner Car Rental will rent select vehicles to persons between the ages of 21-24, who meet all other requirements, for an underage surcharge of US$25/day.
Is there a mileage charge?
There is no additional charge on mileage. Rates shown include unlimited mileage.
SERVICES
Do you drop off and pick up vehicles?
Yes, we deliver and pickup vehicles island-wide. Our pick up and drop off service to Melville Hall Airport, Canefield Airport, Roseau Ferry Terminal and Roseau Cruise Ship Berth is free of charge.
If I have a flight leaving during your closing hours, is there anywhere I can leave the vehicle?
Yes, Road Runner Car Rental has a drop off service at both Melville Hall Airport and Canefield Airport. Our agent will be there at the specified time to meet you.
Do you deliver at the hotels?
Yes, we do deliver at hotels but the customer needs to be present to sign our car rental contract.
TYPES OF VEHICLES
What type of vehicles do you have?
We have 3Dr and 5Dr 4x4 Suzuki Jeeps, Toyota RAV4s and Pajeros/Monteros.
Do you have automatic or stick shift cars?
We have both automatic cars and stick shift cars; make sure you ask for a stick shift in advance since most of our cars are automatic.
Do you have air conditioned cars?
Yes, all our vehicles are air conditioned.
Do you rent cars by the hour?
No, we do not. A minimum charge of one day applies to rentals of less than 24 hours.
ACCESSORIES
Do you offer accessories with your rentals?
Yes, Road Runner Car Rental offers baby seats and/or cellular phones at a low rate of US$2 per day.
DISCOUNTS
If I rent a vehicle for a month can I get a good price?
Yes, vehicles rented for three weeks or more receive a special offer.

Where are you located?
Our Main office is located at Fond Cole Industrial Road, Roseau. We are open from 8:00 AM till 6:00 PM. However, Road Runner Car Rental brings its service to you at any port of entry or accommodation islandwide and we are available to our customers after hours and on weekends at (767) 235-2952.
